A passing score on the Florida CILB Examination is require of all those applying for certification. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, meet the educational/experience requirements, be of good moral character, and pay all applicable fees. In order to become a licensed certified contractor in the State of Florida, an applicant must first pass all parts of the qualifying EXAMINATION. Additionally, the applicant must meet educational and/or experience requirements, obtain worker’s compensation coverage, and demonstrate financial responsibility. A
“licensed certified contractor” means any contractor who possesses a certificate issued by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation
(DBPR) and who shall be allowed to contact in any jurisdiction in the State without being required to fulfill the competency requirements of that jurisdiction.
BE SURE YOU WILL MEET ALL OTHER REQUIREMENTS FOR LICENSURE. YOU WILL NOT BE GRANTED A LICENSE IF YOU DO NOT MEET ALL QUALIFICATIONS FOR LICENSURE EVEN IF YOU PASS THE EXAMINATION
